Think Rocky Horror Picture Show with less androgyny and more anthropophagy.”

—The Onion

“[J.Cannibal] is the sort of guy people brag about knowing. After all, he sounds like an exotic, epic character: poet, undertaker, horror-burlesque king, small-press publisher, show promoter, fake-blood engineer.”

More media love for TT'10

The Boston Phoenix writes:

"The season of horror is upon us. Spooky World opens this weekend, costume stores are popping up, and J. Cannibal and Garen Daly are presenting a seriously spooky line-up at the Somerville Theatre for TerrorThon ’10. Horror fans can catch New England premieres and contemporary classics like Human Centipede, sit in on a Q&A with director Frank Henenlotter, and watch a documentary on “Godfather of Gore” Herschell Gordon Lewis. But the highlight of this nine-day fest is “Spookadelica” a night of trailers, live performance from Black Cat Burlesque and Babes in Boinkland, and special guests this Saturday, September 25."

While SPOOKADELICA will indeed rock you out of your seats, I have trouble considering it THE highlight. Whether you're coming for the U.S. premier of GODFATHER OF GORE followed by a Q&A with dir. Frank Henenlotter, the festival finale with J. CANNIBAL'S FEAST OF FLESH X, or just any one of the many films we've got playing--I'm sure that night will be the highlight of your week.
