“J. Cannibal, the ‘King of Horror Burlesque.’”

—Boston’s Weekly Dig

“J. Cannibal’s Feast of Flesh, led by real-life undertaker and zombie lover J. Cannibal, is a celebration of all things terrifying.”

—The Improper Bostonian

Think Rocky Horror Picture Show with less androgyny and more anthropophagy.”

—The Onion

“[J.Cannibal] is the sort of guy people brag about knowing. After all, he sounds like an exotic, epic character: poet, undertaker, horror-burlesque king, small-press publisher, show promoter, fake-blood engineer.”

—The Boston Phoenix

"J. Cannibal is Boston's horror tastemaker. He knows fear on a screen."

Feast of Flesh XII Approaches!

Pictures up at the Boston Phoenix!

If you missed SPOOKADELICA last Saturday night, we feel really sorry for you. The Boston Phoenix just posted some pictures from that amazing night! There are a few samples below...

BUT DON'T WORRY! You Can still catch J. CANNIBAL'S FEAST OF FLESH X this saturday, October 2nd and you will feel (almost) as though you didn't miss a thing! More horror burlesque! Outerspace rock from Planetoid! The premiere of Madame Psychosis' "Zombie Apocalypse" music video! Zombie costume contest!

...and of course, MORE!

More media love for TT'10

The Boston Phoenix writes:

"The season of horror is upon us. Spooky World opens this weekend, costume stores are popping up, and J. Cannibal and Garen Daly are presenting a seriously spooky line-up at the Somerville Theatre for TerrorThon ’10. Horror fans can catch New England premieres and contemporary classics like Human Centipede, sit in on a Q&A with director Frank Henenlotter, and watch a documentary on “Godfather of Gore” Herschell Gordon Lewis. But the highlight of this nine-day fest is “Spookadelica” a night of trailers, live performance from Black Cat Burlesque and Babes in Boinkland, and special guests this Saturday, September 25."

While SPOOKADELICA will indeed rock you out of your seats, I have trouble considering it THE highlight. Whether you're coming for the U.S. premier of GODFATHER OF GORE followed by a Q&A with dir. Frank Henenlotter, the festival finale with J. CANNIBAL'S FEAST OF FLESH X, or just any one of the many films we've got playing--I'm sure that night will be the highlight of your week.

TerrorThon'10 makes the front page!

The Somerville News ran a front page article on TerrorThon'10 in this week's edition:

"J. Cannibal and Garen Daly are hosting Terrorthon 2010; a nine-day film festival of feverish proportions aimed at scaring and exciting all who attend. J. SCARS magazine plugs TT10

SCARS magazine posted a nice little write-up on the festival:

"Time after time, season after season, Boston’s  midnite movie host, undertaker and showman, J. Cannibal, raises the bar for himself. From September 24 – October 2, he and Garen Daly (Boston Sci Fi Film Festival producer) go 9 steps beyond the normally exquisite Feast of Flesh showings we’ve all come to love at the Coolidge, with a 9 day long horror festival: TerrorThon, at the Somerville Theater, 55 Davis Square... Honestly, if you are anywhere within a reasonable drive’s distance, check out some of these events. "

Thanks to Tony D and the whole crew at SCARS for your interest and support!
